it's finally over, project superstar. not that i actually follow it, but its a competition, so just to keep up with the people around, what the heck, i read the results.
so the blind dude won. everyone is going "wtf! he's freaking blind" like part of me. well, theoretically he would make a very good winner. the whole aim of this competition is to craft out a local idol for chinese music goers.
so if the idol has ideal traits, then all the more the better. since wei lian is blind, yet has the courage and perserverance to go on with the competition, he has inspired many and will continue to inspire more if he is crowned the superstar. say if kelly won instead, then wouldn't all those who have defects and such lose courage and stuff?
well thats for the logical front. feelings wise i think singapore is a very sympathetic lot! voting for the underdog and stuff. but who cares actually, kelly still gets to create her own album, why fuss over something so material if its talent you looking for?
